Proposal for a north east facing kitchen and a narrow city garden set at an oblique angle to the house. The lawn is on a bed of builders rubble, uneven and in parts boggy. Shade all day near the house makes a puddle of mud. The clients requested as much lawn retained as possible. Glass doors open up the kitchen and taller, large leafed plants make the space seem wider by blurring the edges. At the far end a a new cycle and bin store will get rid of the clutter that accumulates by the back door.
